BUILD A BIRTHDAY FUN!

I found this card on the Stamping with Roberta site, and I loved it!  I am going to share it with my Morning Madness group tomorrow.  I switched the colors up a bit for them, but I think it turned out every bit as lovely as this card Roberta posted.

FLOWER PATCH FUN!

This is the card Linda shared last month at Demo Divas with us, and I love it!  she used the Flower Patch stamp Set with the matching Flower Fair Framelits, which made this a very quick and easy card to make.  I love the added texture with embossing the big dots on the background.  Thanks for sharing with us, Linda!!

SHELTERING TREE FROM THE STAMPIN' UP! OCCASIONS CATALOG!

I think this is one of the nicest stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog.  It has great accessories AND great sentiments.  I love a stamp set that has sentiment with the images!  With this particular stamp set you can decorate the tree differently for each season.  This is a very, very versatile stamp set!

BOYS WILL BE BOYS!

This is the wonderful card Terri shared with us for Demo Diva night last month.  I love the bright colors.  I think they are so fun for  a children's card.  Terri was kind enough to loan me this stamp set, and I truly enjoyed making samples with it.  If you have children (not necessarily a little boy), this stamp set is a must.  The robot and the yo-yo are adorable; and the little guy parachuting...  so cute!

BOKEH TECHNIQUE!

Last week one of my customers and friends sent me a link to a video showcasing the Bokeh (pronounced boquet) technique.  I have seen samples with this technique all over, but it looked extremely difficult, so I never got around to investigating how to do it.  Well, the video made it look extremely easy, so "That Michelle" and I gave it a shot.  It was very easy and very fun.  I can't wait to try it using some different shapes.  Maybe stars or hearts???

BUTTERFLY BASICS AND SOMETHING LACY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER!

The Something Lacy Background stamp makes cards so beautiful and easy!  I used the flowers from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and colored them with my Blendabilities.  Both of these stamp sets are available in the Occasions Catalog.

MORE SOMETHING LACY FROM STAMPIN' UP!

I recently hosted an Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration swap for some demonstrators, and this card was my submission.  I used the Something Lacy Background Stamp from the Occasions Catalog, along with the Lotus Blossom FREE Sale-a-Bration Stamp.  The base of my card is made with the Circle Card Thinlits Dies, and when you take off the belly and, the card flips open and you can see the back of the circle.  It is sort of a 3-D Card.

SHELTERING TREE FROM OCCASIONS CATALOG!

We made this card last month in the Rubber Room.  I taught/reminded my customers about the crayon-resist technique.  This is the perfect stamp set for that technique.  Not familiar with the technique?  What you do is:

1) Stamp your image

2) Color areas you want to stay white (in this case those areas I wanted to look like snow on the branches) with a regular white crayon

3) Stamp and/or sponge color right over the crayon!

VOILA~~BEAUTIFUL!

As you can see, this stamp set is not only perfect for this technique, but you can use it to make a card/gift for any season or occasion!

SOMETHING LACY FROM STAMPIN' UP!

This absolutely gorgeous  background stamp, Something Lacy, can be found in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog, and it makes the most beautiful cards!  For this card I used a sentiment from Love and Sympathy,  the Stampin' Up! Extra-Large Oval Punch and 2" Circle Punch, then added some Taffeta Ribbon to accessorize.  It is super quick and easy and so versatile!

"THAT MICHELLE'S" DIVA NIGHT BUTTERFLY FRAMELITS DIE!

This is the card "That Michelle" shared with us on Demo Diva night in January.  It is so simple, elegant and beautiful.  She used the Butterfly Basics Bundle (Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and Butterflies Thinlits Dies) from the Occasions Catalog.  She also used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for the background.  She embossed the butterfly with some glitter embossing powder and added some Pearl Basic Jewels to the body.   Truly an easy card that is perfect for lots of uses:  get well, sympathy, thank you, congratulations....  Thanks, "That Michelle" for sharing your talents!

MY DIRTY LITTLE SECRET!

At long last the time has come, and here I am~~this is me, confessing my dirty little secret right here on my blog!

It all started with Stampin' Up! and a teensy~weensy addiction.  Somehow, somewhere along the way (maybe when I quit my full-time job) my addiction started to grow.  It became bigger and bigger....  some might say it was out of control (but, honestly, when it comes to Stamps, does my husband's opinion really count?) Finally, I learned I would have to find a Stampin' Up! happy budget spot.  I know, how unfair; right? Well, needless to say, my happy budget spot is never enough to purchase all those "must~have items" on my wish list (which is always growing).

Here is the dirty little secret part:  I borrow from other demonstrators.  Now, some demonstrators say (yes, they say this right to my face & I love them for it), I am a "mooch".  Heck, they may even be right, because, after all, they are extremely smart ladies.  But, here is my "borrowing deal".  If you loan me your stamps, I will make you four cards with them.  I also make myself four cards, which I then use as samples for my customers, workshop attendees, Rubber Room visitors, etc...  I even post them here so those who visit my blog can enjoy them.  AND by making four cards, I know for certain whether or not purchasing that stamp set is a must.

OMG!  I totally feel like a weight has been lifted.  It feels good to let that huge secret go.  Thanks so much for letting me unload it here.  Quite frankly, I am a little less embarrassed/mortified than I thought I would be once my secret was out.  Maybe I should tell you about.....  no, I guess I should keep that one a secret.

Getting back to this blog post (I am sure you are happy to know I have not totally spaced on what I was doing here).  I "borrowed" some stamp sets from Caroline and I had a great time with them.  I made a dozen cards (for those of you not too quick with the math, that means she loaned me three stamp sets).  AND, definitely, all three stamp sets are a Must Have for me.

Here are a couple of the cards I made with From the Herd.  This stamp set is available in the Occasions Catalog, and it is perfect if you love coloring and even if you don't!

I am going to turn this card into a baby card.  I outlined the animals with some Smoky Slate and then colored by goat with my Blushing Bride Marker and added some glitter to her!  You can easily do this in blue or green (depending on if it is a boy/girl/sex unknown).  I often go together with my family (sisters and sister-in-laws) on baby gifts and "from the herd" perfectly fits all of us going in on the gift together.

This one is just a really fun one, I think.  Because the sentiment says "just looking in on you..."  I decided to add some big googly eyes.  I cut out the pig and the goat and popped them up with dimensionals (perhaps on another day I will divulge my dirty little dimensional secret)..

From the Herd is a great stamp set with lots of sentiments AND it does not just have to be from an office of people~~think a few neighbors, a knitting club, hockey team moms....
