FRESH CUT CRAZED!

I wanted to use my die cut cards and Fresh Flowers stamp set (instead of just "saving" them as I usually prefer to do ;o). These are some of the ideas I came up with. They were lots of fun to use and made the whole stamping process quick and easy. I love the immediate gratification!

SAYING GOODBYE!

It's time to say goodbye to some of our favorite stamps as they retire! These are photos of the five cards we'll be making at my Retirement Party on July 21st. We're going to use Best Blossoms, Greetings Galore, Happy Camper, Never Ending Joy and Artfully Asian to make these wonderful cards. Please RSVP with an email to me at ckolly@stampingismybusiness.com if you want to join the fun as we ink up these wonderful stamp sets one last time!

HOLIDAY CARD CLASS!

Here are the cards we'll be making at my upcoming 5X The Holiday Fun Class. Attendees will make 2 each of all 5 designs, and they'll be getting a wonderful jump start on their holiday card making. I will do this class with 5 different card layouts each month through November, so that my customers will have 50 cards for the holidays all ready to go!

We'll be using some retiring stamp sets, punches and lots of glitter! The "Tree" card is a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card, so we're also going to do a matching envelope with it.

SMARTY PANTS BUSINESS CARD HOLDER!

Last week I saw a couple tutorials for a business card holder made from an Orbitz gum packet. My business card was too tall to fit inside the gum container :o( So, I used the empty package as a base for a template and just increased the size a little bit so it would really hold my business card. Pictured are the inside and outside views.

I used a Jumbo Wheel on Mellow Moss for the base and then the Words are from Smarty Pants, the flower from Simply Said and a little rhinestone brad for some bling! I used the corner rounder punch to make a small scalloped edge for the inside.

PRICELESS PIZZA BOX PROJECT!

As most of you know, once a week I treat myself to a play date with fellow SU! demonstrators, and we have lots of fun being creative and sharing with one another. This past week one of the demos brought lots of ideas for cards, envelopes and boxes; and I had to try them all! I sort of wrapped them all into one, and I think it makes a great little gift idea. I made 4 cards, matching envelopes and a "pizza" box to put them all in. These are photos of the cards, and they all open twice~~that makes the cards twice as much fun; right? There's a photo of the front of the card; with the diagonal cut open and then with the square flap open. This was lots of fun to make!

LITTLE SQUARE ENVELOPES!

Since the cards were 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 I needed a square envelope that they would fit inside. I made these from a regular-size envelope; cut a little off the edge; and added a little topper flap.

"PIZZA BOX" HOLDER!

This is the top of the pizza box and side of the pizza box. It opens up just like a pizza box in a mini size. AND it will hold all four cards with their envelopes. How cute is that? I may find this will be one of my homemade holiday gifts this year!

A FEW MORE TILES!

Here is another peak at the tiles that were made at the Decorative Tile Class that went bezerk. This "B Happy" tile is a take off on the tile sample I shared at my class; but here she used a lot more color! She even edged two sides with one color and the other two sides with a different color. The "Summer" tile came about because one gal didn't like the "B Happy" and ventured into a more summery-theme still using the bold, bright colors. The "cherish" tile is going to be a wedding gift. She "monogrammed" it at the bottom and did it in the couple's favorite color. With the wedding tile we learned that if you decide, after baking your tile, that you aren't happy with it, you can "scrape" off what you don't like while it is still warm. I used some tweezers to sort of "pick" it off the tile. Do not use your fingernail. It will work, BUT your fingernail is NOT a "tool" :o)
Are you getting the idea that this is a class not to be missed???

GETTING EXCITED!

Today, July 1st, is the first day demonstrators can preorder from the new sneak peak catalog! How excited am I? I am almost as excited to place my preorder as I am to share all the new things with my customers! I hope you are all enjoying your summer and are anxious to get back to the Rubber Room and experience all the new things from Stampin' Up!

NEW STAMP SETS ARE DIE CUT!!

Here is a real shocker~~well, at least it was a shocker for me. Stampin' Up! has just announced that all new stamp sets will be die cut. This will begin with the Fall/Winter 2008 Idea Book and Catalog (which will be available to order from on August 11, 2008). All new stamp sets will be clearly marked in the new catalog, so you won't have any trouble recognizing them! WOW! I know most of my customers will be way excited about this!

Hugs from the Rubber Room
