APRIL QUAD CLASS!

I finally finished samples of cards we'll be making in the Rubber Room at some of our scheduled April events. Be sure to check back often to see what's coming up and check my Class Schedule tab for complete class details. You definitely deserve some relaxation time, and I hope you'll spend it with me in the Rubber Room soon!

Below are the samples of what's going to happen on April 6th at the Quad Class. There are still spots available, so be sure to RSVP!

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!

This is the Sympathy card we will make at my April Quad Class. The little Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad is available until the end of April in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. These little epoxy brads are just adorable and add so much "pizzazz" to a card.

This card was shared at a demonstrator get together I attended a couple of months ago, and I am glad to be able to share it with my customers!

UPSY DAISY!

This is the card the Linda shared with us at our demonstrator get together this month. I just thought it was so cute, that I knew I would have to share it with my customers. SO, this is the thank you card we'll be making at April's Quad Class! I really like that it's an unusual card pattern. I don't use the Jumbo Eyelets very often, but they add lots of texture to this card. I know my customers will enjoy giving them a try!

BEAUTIFUL WINGS EMBOSSLIT!

I love the look of the butterflies made with vellum. I think it gives this card a really elegant look. I used the Teeny Tiny Words stamp set, along with the dotted embossing folder and the Beautiful Wing Embosslit. With the Teeny Tiny Words stamp set, you can easily make this a birthday card, a sympathy card, an Easter card, etc... very versatile!

This is the Get Well card we will make at April's Quad Class on April 6th. Check out my class schedule for complete class details. You must RSVP by April 1st.

SWEET PEA STITCHED FELT!

Here's the birthday card we'll be making at April's Quad Class. It uses some Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper and the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flowers. Both of which are available only until the end of April in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. The sentiment is from On Your Birthday stamp set. This is definitely a card you can make on your way to the party!

THIS MONTH'S CARD CLUB!

I have a Card Club that meets each month to make 3-4 cards that all use the same pattern. The objective is to teach my customers how to use different stamp sets, designer series papers, ribbons and other accessories to customize their cards while using the same basic layout. We made four cards this month, and this is the basic pattern we used.

For this card I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and my butterfly punch. I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series paper. I also used my Trio Flower punch and the Scallop Edge border punch. The awesome punches Stampin' Up! offers make all my card-making projects very easy!

A FLOWER FOR ALL SEASONS!

This is another card from our Card Club with this month's pattern. For this card I used the A Flower for All Seasons stamp set. We stamped the image with StazOn ink and then watercolored it. The stamp set is one that you can get for FREE from Sale-A-Bration until the end of this month! The background is the Sanded Background stamp from the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog, and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. This is a great set, because there are words for every occasion in it!

CLOSE AS A MEMORY!

This is another card we made at our monthly Card Club using this month's pattern. For this one I used Close as a Memory stamp set and colored the stamp with markers. To accessorize the card I used the Dotted Embossing Folder with my Big Shot and the scallop border punch, which is currently available in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. I pre-made all the little bows with the taffeta ribbon.

EXTRA LARGE BIRD PUNCH WITH BIRD ON A BRANCH!

For this card I punched the Bird and Wing out of a piece of cardstock and then used the punched cardstock as a stencil. Then I just sponged ink inside the stencil area for the bird and wing. I added a little branch for my birdy to sit on from the Bird On A Branch stamp set. I also used a Kraft corduroy button as a little accent. I sponged the button with some Soft Suede Ink just because I thought the kraft was a little lighter than I wanted. This card was very quick and easy, but I think it has a nice soft look to it.

This is the last of the four cards we will be making at my upcoming For The Birds class. I hope you are signed up to join the fun!

ONE MORE "FOR THE BIRDS CLASS"

I think this guy is too cute! I subscribe to a service called Class In A Flash, which offers class ideas, and this one of the cards they made useing the Extra Large Bird Punch that Stampin' Up! currently has available in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

This is another one of the cards you can make at my For The Birds card class this upcoming Monday!

BIRD PUNCH FOR SPRING!

There are two sure signs of spring in Michigan! One, of course, is the flowers that are beginning to push their way up through the frozen ground. And, two, is the sight and sound of all the birds coming out to enjoy the sunshine and relative warmth. This card combines both of those (the bird punch is used to make the flowers) for a definitely springy-feeling card.

This is another card which we will be making at my "For The Birds" class next Monday. It just puts a smile on my face! It can be used for a birthday, easter, mother's day...... and, of course, just to put a smile on someone else's face.

EXTRA LARGE BIRD PUNCH!

This is one of the cards we will be making at my For The Birds Class next week. You can see all the class details below, or use the "class schedule" tab on the top of my blog to see an entire list and details of upcoming classes.

Jackie Topa shared her idea for useing the Extra Large Bird Punch to make little rose buds, and I had to try it out! For this card I used some Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, which is available in the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.

On Monday, March 29, 2010, I will be having a "For The Birds" class. We will be useing the Extra Large Bird Punch to make four awesome cards, and we will use the punch in lots of different ways. You must bring your own punch to class with you (along with your adhesive). Cost of the class is $6, and you must RSVP! There are still a few spots open, and I'd love to share these creative ideas with you, so sign up soon!

BRENDA'S BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS!

My dear friend and good customer, Brenda, often shares her gorgeous creations with me, and I love these flowers! She made these flowers with her ornament punch. After she made them, she decorated these gift bags with them, and I must say that I am so impressed with this look, that I will definitely be copying it for myself.

Great job, Brenda; and thanks for letting me share your bags!

STARRING YOU IN COLORS!

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly Card Club this month. It features a "button" made by layering pieces of cardstock that have been punched out. This was a technique that was shared in this month's Stampin' Success. If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you know this is one of the great perks Stampin' Up! provides its demonstrators. Each month demonstrators receive a magazine that is packed with ideas, tips, information and samples. This little magazine is just one of the awesome things Stampin' Up! provides its demonstrators, and I love it!! You can still take advantage of the great discounts being offered this month when you become a demonstrator. Contact me, and I will be happy to fill you in on more of the perks Stampin' Up! provides, as well as the benefits of becoming part of my Stampin' Up! family.

For this card I combined Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo cardstock. These are all In Colors for the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog. I also used the Starring You stamp set, which is one of the stamp sets being offered FREE with Sale-A-Bration until the end of this month!

The "buttons" were made by punching six small stars from Melon Mambo cardstock. I then adhered them together with Crystal Effects and let them dry between a couple of catalogs overnight. You know what this means, right? You can actually make buttons in the size and shape of any of the awesome Stampin' Up! punches you have (or NEED to order). I can't wait to try my hand at some flower "buttons" next!

MORE SWEET PEA DESIGNER SERIES PAPER!

This is the birthday card we made at this month's Quad Class. I used some of the Stampin' Up! Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper, which is available in the current Occasions Mini Catalog and the Butterfly Punch. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! On Your Birthday stamp set! This is another quick and easy card to make lots of and stash away so you will always have a birthday card on hand!

CLOSE AS A MEMORY!

This is a very quick and simple sympathy card I made with my Quad Class this past month. I originally received this card from a demonstrator friend of mine, Keri Blake, and I knew I would have to re-create it!

The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Close As A Memory stamp set; the designer series paper is Stampin' Up! Bella Bleau. I used my Eyelet Border Punch and added a little Kraft Taffeta Ribbon to accessorize it.

WHITE ON WHITE ON WHITE!

Lately I have really been liking the "white-on-white" look. I think it's so elegant. This card was one we made in my Quad Class earlier this month. I used the dotted embossing folder, the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and the organza white ribbon.

WELLNESS WISHES!

Wellness Wishes is one of the stamp sets that appears in the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog, and you can earn it for FREE as part of the Sale-A-Bration. It has an adorable little dog on a pillow, but I love this little band-aid with a smiley face! This is a very simple card we made in one of my classes and one of my clubs this month. I stamped the image with StazOn Black Ink and then used my watercolor wonder crayons to watercolor the image. I also used my FREE scallop border punch available during Sale-A-Bration and some of the great satin ribbon now available in the Occasions Mini Catalog!

This quick little card is sure to put a smile on your face, regardless of how sickly you may be feeling.

NOUVEAU CHIC VINYL BAG!

From time to time I take a UStamp Course online. It is full of awesome creative ideas and items created by lots of great artistic minds! This particular vinyl bag was created by Linda Hansen, and she designed it to carry her catalogs to workshops in. Hopefully you will be able to tell by the photos that it is very wide and deep. The photos are of both the side and the front of the bags. I can easily pack lots of stuff into it and it's very sturdy.

Right now all three of my bags are packed full of the materials I have prepped for my Lady's Fun Day on Saturday!

These bags are addicting, but, honestly, I think bags are like flower stamps and black shoes~~no woman can have too many!

COTTAGE WALL BAG!

This bag is made with the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper and Old Olive Ribbon!

LOVELY FLOWERS VINYL BAG!

I really like the Lovely Flowers Designer Series Paper from the Level Three Hostess set clled Lovely Flowers Bundle. For this bag I paired up some Close to Curry and Melon Mambo Dotted Ribbons.

Hugs from the Rubber Room
