I have been working on this gift for my dear friend and walking partner, and at long last I have finished it! I'm so proud, I had to show it off. This is a three-piece gift set, and I already had the giant clothes pin and little box with drawers made, along with a lunch box tin to hold cards. Unfortunately, I had too many cards to fit in the tin, so I decorated a little box to hold all her cards. The other picture is of the inside of the box and one of the card dividers. I made the card dividers to separate different types of cards (i.e., Baby, Christmas, Get Well, etc...). I showed it off to my hubby, and he asked if I could make his mom a card box for her birthday (we're celebrating on Sunday with her ;o). I "calmly" explained that if I did not want to sleep, eat or go potty between now and then it was a definite possibility, but I couldn't promise anything. I hope she'll enjoy using all of her handmade cards and think of me every time she reaches for one!
