BIRTHDAY BASH IS COMING UP!

Below are the four cards we'll be making at our Birthday Bash get together on March 10, 2009. I will do class from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and again from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. That makes it really easy for you to work some fun into your busy schedule. There is no sweeter way to enjoy yourself than to spend some time with friends and make some beautiful cards that you know will put a smile on someone's face when they receive one.

We're going to be making eight cards (two each of the four designs pictured below). There's lots of punches, patterned paper and different techniques for you to enjoy using while making these awesome cards. Lots of opportunity for creativity and fun!

Class is $15 and is prepay. Call me at 248.652.4606 or email me at ckolly@stampingismybusiness.com to RSVP.

Please know that my Stamp-A-Stack classes fill up fast and are favorites, so RSVP early to save your spot!

EYELET BORDER PUNCH GOES SQUARE!

One of my favorite things in the new Stampin' Up! catalog is the eyelet border punch. I was playing around with it the other day~~a girl's gotta have fun~~and came up with this little square frame. It is super easy to make! Start with a 3x3 square of card stock, center the cardstock in the eyelet border punch and punch; turn the card stock to the new side, center and punch again; do this on all four sides of the 3x3 square and you have the cutest little frame. I put a piece of Whisper White card stock behind my little frame (which is Green Galore). The little white pieces in all four corners looks like they've been punched out; but that's just trick photography. I actually used my 1/4" square punch and punched out 4 squares and then adhered (as I like to say, "stuck") them onto the corners.

Of course, this is another quick and easy card. You know what that means? It means it's perfect for "Birthday Bash" in March!

TRENDY TREES!

I used my new Trendy Trees stamp set to make this card, and I love how it turned out. I popped up the top layers, so it looks like the tree is in the background. I really like my punches, so, of course, I had to use a few of them here! This is a simple card to put together, which makes it perfect for the Birthday Bash in March.

Visit my calendar or recent posts for all class details!

BEAUTIFUL BORDERS!

Earlier this month I taught the gals in my Techniques class how to marker their stamp to get lots of different colors with only one stamp. Well, at the "Birthday Bash" in March we're going to put that technique to use again. We'll be markering this stamp from the Beautiful Borders stamp set. For this card I also used the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper, which is FREE in the SAB catalog with any minimum $50 purchase.

If you're interest in attending the Birthday Bash, it is March 10, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon or from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We'll make eight cards (2 each of 4 different designs) This is a prepay class, and the cost is $15.

BOTANICAL BLOOMS

This is a birthday card for my upcoming "Birthday Bash". Visit my calendar for complete class details.

I used Botanical Blooms from the SAB catalog. This is a FREE set that you can pick from the SAB catalog with any minimum $50 purchase.

These flowers are so pretty and delicate. For this card I used Artichoke Print Patterns paper with Rose Red and Artichoke cardstock.

Punch Club will meet on Tuesday, February 24th from 10:00 a.m. to Noon or from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome to join the fun. Mitzi (the "Cutting Queen") is hostess this month. There is no fee for the 4 great cards/projects we'll be creating, but you must place a minimum $25 order at club. Below are photos of three of the items we'll make. The fourth project/card is Mr. Leprechaun, and you can see him in the February 11th post (or use my "clubs" link at the top of my blog). You must RSVP by Tuesday, February 17th if you want to get punchy with us!

UNDER THE STARS!

I saw this card on the SU! Demonstrator website, and I just loved it. I swapped out a ribbon for yet another punch and now it's ready for Punch Club! Check out my calendar for details on the fun!

PUNCHED FROG!

Everything goes with chocolate, and this little frog is no exception! Inside his belly sits a Hersheys Nugget. He is made of punches and is ready to put a smile on everyone's face! Want one for yourself? Join the Punch Club get together this month, and make one. Check out my calendar for details and RSVP.

MORE LOVE YOU MUCH!

I think these are the cutest little love birds! We'll be making this card at our Punch Club on Tuesday, February 24th. Be sure to check out my calendar for class details!

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY IS COMING UP!

Do you want to learn some great stamping techniques? Well, if you do, you won't want to miss Technique Tuesday on February 17th in the Rubber Room. You will learn how to emboss on DSP; color your stamp with markers and color your chipboard with classic ink. We will be making the three cards below, and you will go home with a "sample" card that will include step-by-step directions for the technique and a sample of the technique. The "sample" card will be enclosed in a clear envelope and will be punched so you can put it onto your technique key ring. Visit my calendar for all the details, and don't miss the fun!

COLOR YOUR CHIPBOARD!

For this card I used my Big Shot to cut a heart from a coaster. Then I added color to the chipboard with classic ink. I'll be teaching my customers how to do this technique on February 17th at my Technique Tuesday class. Be sure to use the link on my left side bar to visit my calendar for all class details.

INSPIRED BY NATURE!

I love using Designer Series Paper, and embossing on it really seems to show it off. I used Amethyst Print Pattern paper and embossed on it with Lovely Lilac classic ink.

If you want to learn this technique, make plans to join the Technique Tuesday class on February 17th. For all the class details, visit my calendar.

MARVELOUS MARKERS!

This is the heart from the Always stamp set. I used markers to color the stamp and add emphasis to certain areas. This is one of the techniques I will be sharing with my customers on February 17th at the Techniques Tuesday class.

You can visit my calendar (use the link on the left side bar) for all class details!

YUMMY TREAT!

I felt the NEED to share a sample with a Sale-A-Bration set, but I didn't have one. SO, I borrowed the "Yummy" stamp set from a fellow demonstrator (thanks, Ronnie) so that I could whip something up to share. I had some little "jello" containers (thanks, Mitzi) sitting around waiting for inspiration.... and so, my little Yummy treat came together. I also used Sweet Serendipity and Flight of the Butterfly stamp sets for the lid. The Designer Series Paper is Candy Lane! I filled some containers with sweet tart packets and some with kisses.

STARTER KIT DISCOUNT!

Stampin' Up! just keeps making Sale-A-Bration more fun! Sign up to be a demonstrator between February 1 and March 31 and save 15%. For only $169 you will get products worth $335, and you can customize your kit to enhance Stampin' Up! supplies you already have. In addition, you will receive a FREE stamp set of your choice from the spring-summer 2009 idea book and catalog. There's never been a better time to become part of my Stampin' Up! downline family.
