FLOWER PATCH FUN!

This is the card Linda shared last month at Demo Divas with us, and I love it!  she used the Flower Patch stamp Set with the matching Flower Fair Framelits, which made this a very quick and easy card to make.  I love the added texture with embossing the big dots on the background.  Thanks for sharing with us, Linda!!

Occasions Catalog.  It is made with the traditional Real Red and Whisper White Valentines Day color combination.  I used the Hearts Collection  Framelits for the Big Shot and the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the Big Shot, the circle punch and then just added a Rhinestone Jewel for some "bling".  All of the great Stampin' Up! tools/accessories make this card super quick and easy to create.

SIX-SIDED SAMPLER PRODUCT CLASS!

The first-ever Rubber Room Product Party is happening November 26th, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Rubber Room.  The Product Party is only $5, and this month we will be making all four of these cards!

For this card we use the Hexagon Punch to create the "tag look".  The Love and Sympathy Stamp Set is where the image and sentiment are from.  We also used the Very Vintage Designer Buttons, and the Modern Label Punch to set the button on.  From the Holiday  Mini Catalog, we used the Pretty Print Textured Embossing Folder for the Big Shot and some of the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon for the button bow.

This card uses the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set and the Hexagon Punch, as well as the 1/8" Silver Ribbon (available in the Holiday Mini Catalog) and the Delicate Designs Textured Embossing Folder for the Big Shot.  The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set.

For this lovely card we again used the Hexagon Punch and the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set, along with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Embossing Folder for the Big Shot and the Bitty Butterfly Punch.  You can't see it too well in the photo, but there are Rhinestone Jewels for the butterfly bodies.  The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set.

For this card we used the Hexagon Punch to make the little "purse".  The "clasp" on the purse is a Rhinestone Jewel colored with a red Sharpie marker.  The sentiment is from the Yippe-Skippee! Stamp Set.

Here is one of the cards from my Technique Tuesday class, where we had lots of fun playing with the Faux Pattina Technique.

I love the Faux Pattina look, and we had plenty of creative input trying different color combinations during the Rubber Room Technique Tuesday classes.  We made this card using the Monstermaniacs and Happy Day stamp sets.  I just think the Monstermaniacs are so stinkin' cute!  For the ink colors we used Pool Party, Pistachio, Island Indigo, Night of Navy and embossed with Silver Encore Ink Pad and Silver Embossing Powder.  We also used the Argyle Textured Embossing Folder.

ORNAMENT KEEPSAKES MEETS FAUX PATINA!

While at the Creative Convention, fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Angie Leach, had a great presentation on the Faux Patina technique.  I fell in love!  Tonight at our Demo Diva shoebox swap I will be sharing this technique.  Here is the card we are going to make.

Technically Patina is a green or brown film on the surface of bronze or similar metals, produced by oxidation over a long period.  Simply put, oxidized metal.  "Faux Patina" is an oxidized metal look, and since it is "Faux" it can be many different colors (not just green or brown).  When doing this technique, you sponge ink (in several different colors) over your dry-embossed image, and then sponge lightly with VersaMark Ink in certain areas, sprinkle with Metallic Embossing Powder and heat emboss (using your heat tool).  The heat embossing with the Metallic Embossing Powder is what gives it the metal look.  This is a "quick" explanation of the technique.  If you are not lucky enough to be one of the awesome Demo Divas attending the Shoebox Swap tonight in the Rubber Room, on October 29th, I will be demonstrating this technique for my Technique Tuesday class.  You can visit the link below to get all the class details.  If you are not a Demo Diva, but would love to be one, use the link below to join my Stampin' Up! downline family and become a Rubber Room Rambler.  

You cannot really appreciate this technique from this photo, but where it appears to be stamped in Crumb Cake (like the sentiment), it is actually embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  It is much prettier than this in real life, I assure you.
