HALLOWEEN 6x6 SCRAPBOOK PAGE!

I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my little Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the Big Shot so I could make this scrapbook page to share with my Friday Club. They have a little 6x6 keyring scrapbook that they add one page to each month, and this is the one they'll make in September. I love how it turned out!

For this page I used some Tangerine Tango cardstock for my base page and then some Whisper White cardstock embossed with my Spider Web. I added a little glitter to the spider web (you can see it better in the close up photo). Then I made a witch and a ghost out of the Stampin' Up! Owl Punch to decorate the page with. I also added a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Words and a few bats made with the new Stampin' Up! Bat Punch.

I liked the way this turned out so much that I used the same basic idea and made a Halloween card for my Wright Club to make this month. I'll post that one Thursday, so be sure to stop back by and take a peek! I won't be posting it until Thursday because tomorrow (Wednesday) I will have another video tutorial for you.

Customers can order the Spider Web Embossing Folder beginning September 1st, 2010 from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog!

IN A WORD AND TAKE A SIP WHEEL!

I made this card to send to a friend that I love having coffee with. Each month we pick a date for coffee and then we spend the month having to reschedule our date and by the time we finally manage to actually "do coffee" it was "So Worth The Wait"! As one of my customers pointed out, this sentiment is also great of a belated birthday card.

The In A Word Stampin' Up! stamp set is available in the Summer Mini Catalog, and you won't be able to order it after August 31st. Don't delay and miss out on this great set of words! Order 24/7 from my website or contact me, and I'll help you place your order.

OWL PUNCH WITH WORD PLAY AND TOP NOTE BIG SHOT DIE!

This is one of the cards we did at club this month, and, YES, I actually used the Stampin' Up! Owl Punch to make an Owl. For the colors I used Concorde Crush and Pretty in Pink. I added a little Pearl Jewel and some Concorde Crush Ribbon to accessorize my card. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Stamp Set called Word Play. This is just a fun little card, and this owl is just so adorable!

GHOSTLY HALLOWEEN CARD!

This is the card my Tuesday Club made with the Ghosts made from the new Stampin' Up! Owl Punch.

Here are the "DEETS"!
I used the Concorde Crush for my card base and (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score 8 1/2 side at 4 1/4) and the Crush piece on the card is 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 and I put it through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice EF. Then I used Tangerine Tango cut at 5 1/4 x 4 and also put that through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice EF. I also put a 1 5/8 x 1 5/8 piece of Tango on the back of my sentiment, but just in the left-hand corner; and I punched the litle hearts from the Owl Punch out of Tango for the ghosts feet. I used Basic Black to punch the eyes from the Owl Punch (the medium-sized circles on the punch), two bats punched with the bat punch and then also a piece cut at 2 1/8 x 1 5/8 to mount my sentiment on. For my sentiment I embossed the words from House of Haunts onto a piece of Whisper White cut at 2 x 1 1/2. I used my gel pen to add the white "eyeballs" to the ghosts eyes. The ghosts are Whisper White cardstock punched with the owl punch and then I cut his feet off and that becomes the top/head of your ghost.

I think this is just the cutest Halloween card, and I hope you enjoy it too!

STAMPIN' UP! BELLS AND BOUGHS SNEAK PEEK!

At a recent play date my demonstrator friend, Nancy Gelle, Shared her Bells & Boughs stamp set from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catlaog. Here are cards we came up with. There is a close up of our bells and sentiment. We both finished our cards in different ways, and we couldn't decide which one we liked best. You be the judge, which card do you like best?

STAMPIN' UP! JUST BELIEVE STAMP SET!

This is another card we'll be making at Tuesday Club this month. For this card I used three different Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets: Thoughts and Prayers (for the sentiment), Just Believe (for the flowers) and Watercolor Trio (for the butterfly). For the colors I used Not Quite Navy ink, Vanilaa, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Baja Breeze cardstock. The Designer Series Paper is from the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper Pack. The punches are the Stampin' Up! Scallop Oval and Wide Oval. This is a quick and easy card to make, but it has a very elegant look to it. I used my distressing tool to distress the edges and give it a little more texture.

STAMPIN' UP! AVIARY STAMP SET!

This is a card we'll be making at our Tuesday Club this month. This is the club where we make 3-4 cards each month useing the same pattern.

For this card I used some strips of Designer Series Paper in Regal Rose, Garden Green and So Saffron. I mounted them onto a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock and then used the Stampin' Up! Scalloped Edge Punch on the side of it. I stamped my little bird in Regal Rose Classic Ink and the cage in Early Espresso Classic Ink. I punched the bird in the cage out with the Stampin' Up! Decorative Label Punch, which will be available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.I accessorized with some 1/8" Early Espresso Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Just Believe Stamp Set and is punched with the Word Window Punch.

CHRISTMAS COLLAGE HOLIDAY MINI SNEAK PEEK!

Here is another Sneak Peek card made with the Stampin' Up! Christmas Collage stamp in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. This is a card I made with my demonstrator friend and downline, Yvonne Brassat.

For this card we used some Bravo Burgundy, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla cardstock. The Designer Series Paper is from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog and is called Deck the Halls. This is a beautiful pack of Designer Series Paper with a very traditional look, and it would make beautiful scrapbook pages.

The "Joy at Christmas" stamp is from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Perfect Punches that is available in the current Idea Book and Catalog on page 131. This is a great stamp set that coordinates with different Stampin' Up! punches and has very versatile sayings/sentiments in it.

For accessories we used the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Very Vanilla. This is a great ribbon for making little bows with! We also used some Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink for the center of the berries, flowers and the bells. The Accent Ink gives them a little bit of "sparkle" and makes them look very cool!

Remember, it's not too soon to start thinking about those hoilday cards! I will be having my first Holiday Stamp-A-Stack on August 31st from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. You can make eight great holiday cards (2 each of 4 different designs) for only $12. I supply all the materials, light snacks, coffee, water and fun. All you need to supply is your own adhesive. There are still spots available, but you must sign up before August 24th!

JOLLY OLD SAINT NICK SNOWMAN SNEAK PEAK!

Here is another card Nancy and I made when we got together last week. This is also made with the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Jolly Old Saint Nick Stampin' Up! Stamp Set.

We embossed our image on this card and then used the Stampin' Up! Two-Way Glue Pen and put it over the snowman, snowflakes and snow at the bottom of the card. We spooned some Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the glue and then added some Baja Breeze color to his scarf, mittens and hat brim with the Baja Breeze Marker. We again used the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it out with the Word Window Punch and then mounted it on some Real Red Card Stock punched with the Modern Label Punch.

All the glitter on this card and the Designer Series Paper is very festive!

STAMPIN' UP! JOLLY OLD SAINT NICK!

Nancy and I thought and thought about a good way to make Santa's beard nice and fluffy for this card. We finally came up with this creation, and I love the way it turned out!

We used some of the Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper with the Stampin' Up! Jolly Old Saint Nick Stamp Set. Both of these items are available in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog, and they are definitely a "must have"! The glitter on the Designer Series Paper is simply beautiful.

For our card we embossed the image with Basic Black Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. We watercolored Santa's face and then colored his hat with a Real Red marker. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Teeny Tiny Words Stamp Set, and we punched it out with the Stampin' Up! Word Window Punch and then mounted it onto a piece of Garden Green Cardstock that was punched with the Stampin' Up! Modern Label Punch.

Are you ready to hear what we finally settled on for Santa's beard? Well, we took two styrofoam balls and rubbed them together. That made some really small, soft looking pieces, that we caught in a Tidy Tray. Then we filled in Santa's beard, facial hair, hat trim and ball with Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects and spooned the styrofoam pieces onto it. How cool is that? It definitely gives Santa a great look!

STAMPIN' UP! TWO-STEP OWL PUNCH MEETS MR. FROG!

The idea for this week's video came from my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friend, Keri Blake. She loves frogs and owls, so when she got her new Two-Step Owl Punch from Stampin' Up! she decided to use it to make a frog. She calls her creation a "frowl". When Michelle, another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friend and downline, came by to play yesterday, she brought these cool mombo paperclips. I knew that was the perfect place to put a frowl. So, here's what we came up with.

Everyone knows I love my Stampin' Up! Punches, and this is a perfect way to show them off and make a quick and easy project. It's so easy the kids can do it!

I hope you enjoy this week's video and will come by next week to see what's in store from the Rubber Room!

STAMPIN' UP! HOSTESS SET SILHOUETTE SENTIMENTS!

Nancy wows me again! For this card she uses her Stampin' Up! Level One Hostess Set called Silhouette Sentitments, and pairs it with some Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze cardstock. Nancy markered her stamp with Peach Parfait, Cajun Craze and Mellow Moss. There are three great Stampin' Up! punches on this card too~~you gotta love that! Her focal point/image is punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch, layered onto the scallop circle punch and then layered onto the XL scallop circle punch. MORE GREAT CARDS TOMORROW!

I am posting some photos I took of my recent fishing trip, but I will be back tomorrow with more great cards, so be sure to stop by!

MY FISHING TRIP!

Last weekend I took a wonderful trip to visit my family. My nieces and nephews were there, and we had a lot of fun water-skiing and tubeing. BUT the best part was when my sister, my brothers, my sister-in-law and my niece went to Ludington and took a charter boat fishing trip. It was an awesome time, and we even managed to catch a few fish. We had a couple of really great fresh salmon meals before I had to come home too~~yummy!! Then I had a couple more after I got home~~more yummy!!

These are photos of the ten fish we managed to catch and all of us wonderful fishermen and fisherwomen!

Hugs from the Rubber Room
