THE OPEN SEA!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets to make masculine cards with.  It is also a great stamp set to make frames or coaster with as gifts for those who live in the warmer climates and/or enjoy the water and boating.  This card was made by my fellow Demo Diva, Caroline.  She used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to make the frame with.  Very clever lady!  Thanks, Caroline, for sharing your creative talents with me/us.

Another Lansing creation!    When we were in Lansing, I signed up for a masculine card class, and this is one of the cards we made.  It is perfect for any man in your life, AND you can easily change the greeting to make it a birthday card or a father's day card.  This sentiment, I think, is great for a graduation.

MOON LAKE MASCULINE POST CARD!

Moon Lake is one of the stamp sets being offered in the Occasions Catalog, and it was the first stamp set on my list.  I held a swap during the holidays, and here is one of the four cards I made for the swap.  I am hoping to go on a vacation to Florida this winter, and I thought it would be nice to have a post card  I made to send to my hubby while I was away.  I think this will be the ticket!  I can write on the front and put the address and stamp on the back and away we go.  I will stamp it and stick it in my computer bag, and I am all set.  Of course you can make this a full card also, and it will be every bit as lovely.  I used my blender pens and ink pads to do the "water color"; which means I stamped my image with StazOn Ink.

CLOCKWORKS!

Sometimes it is very difficult for me to come up with a masculine card.  I think this happens for a lot of reasons, but most specifically for the big reason that I love flowers, butterflies and ribbon~~none of which are masculine!  Having said that, however,  I will confess to having two favorite stamp sets that make it super-duper easy to whip up a masculine card.  One of the stamp sets is Clockworks and the other one is Wetlands.  For this card, I have combined one of the sentiments from Wetlands with the Clockworks Stamp Set.   I think the color combination of Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray and Black lends an even more masculine feel to this card.  AND even better is that the sentiment on this card can easily be changed, and the card can be used for many different occasions.  This stamp set also works with four different circle punches to make assembly extra easy.
