Manhattan Flower Wedding Dress

I found this wedding dress cut from vellum cardstock that had been embossed with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder on somebody's blog, but I have no idea who shared this idea with me. If it was you, please let me know so I can give you the credit you deserve for your creativity! I changed up the ribbon and added a flower from the Pretties Kit and a Rhinestone Brad. I also tried it with a flat-backed pearl from the Pretties Kit, and I really liked that too!

The second photo is the pattern for cutting the dress from the embossed cardstock.

I think this makes a beautiful card for a bride!

PUNCH ART GRAD!

I got this idea from Samantha Parisi. I had to make a few changes from her pattern because I wanted to use all current Stampin' Up! punches. We are going to be making this card in my Friday Hostess Club this week, and I hope the gals enjoy it! I used a CuttleBug embossing folder with the congratulation words on the YoYo Yellow cardstock, and here is a list of the punches I used:

WHISPER WHITE
1” Circle, double punch~~tassel cord
Word Window, double punch in half~~scroll/diploma
¾” square, fringe and fold~~tassel

BLUSH BLOSSOM
1 ¼” circle~~head
2 Word Window, cut in half~~neck and hands
Boho Blossom small Flower~~fingers

BASIC BLACK
2 Small Ovals~~arms
1 Trio Flower~~eyes
¾” Square, trim to long rectangle~~top of cap
1” circle punched and then punched with 5-Petal Flower~~hat part of cap

1 ½” x 2 ½”~~gown; tag corner punch top on both sides, notch in middle with ¼” square

I think she is just adorable!

WOW!

The month of April has totally gotten away from me. NO, that's not an April Fool's Joke! I am sure you have noticed a drastic lack in posting from me this month. I had planned to share some things this evening, but I ran into a little difficulty. I got a new wireless printer, which I need to learn how to use. I have actually been able to download my photos, but now I am having difficulty with resizing in my new all-in-one photo program. I have resolved to stick to it until I get it figured out, though!! Look for some shares tomorrow, and I promise I won't disappoint!

FLIGHT OF THE BUTTERFLY AND INSPIRED BY NATURE!

When I attended a Regional seminar last month one of the demonstrators showed this awesome card idea. It's hard to see from the photo, but when you open the card, there are strips of window sheet that are attached to the accordian in the middle of the card and then little butterflies are attached to the opposite ends of the window sheet. It makes it appear like those butterflies are actually sort of flying around. Seriously, they bounce up and down..... obviously something that's better in real life! I'm going to use this card for an upcoming demonstrator shoe box swap I'm participating in.

BIG SHOT BUTTERFLY IN GLASS!

I totally cased this idea from my latest Stampin' Success magazine. Stampin' Success if an excellent reference material that all Stampin' Up! demonstrators receive once a month. I love to try the new ideas and techniques in the magazine. I think this one turned out pretty cute. It is almost exactly like what was shown in the magazine~~minus the chocolate (for obvious reasons ;o). Some of my customers brought me some glass plates to try it on. Since it was so easy to do, I am now anxious to get to playing with the plates to see what I can come up with!

UNDER THE STARS FOR THE GRAD!

One of my favorite "sources" for great card ideas is my downline, Michelle Langefeld. She is extremely talented, and I love it when she tries something new and then shares it with me. I created this graduation card to make with some of my clubs in May, and then I took her idea and added a large circle punch on the inside that was "trimmed" so that it would sort of spring open. I attached one end of the circle to the top of the card and one to the bottom and then added some punched stars. When you open the card the spiraled circle opens. It's a card with a surprise inside!

AN AWESOME GIFT!!

I have lots and lots of "sources" where I get ideas and inspiration. As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I receive a monthly magazine that has lots of techniques as well as scrapbooking and card ideas. I subscribe to several rubber stamping magazine and online stamping class resources. I recently got an idea from Class In A Flash, that was the perfect gift idea for me! My husband is often rooting around the "Rubber Room" looking for cards to give or send people, so this is going to be his Father's Day Gift, and one I am positive he will use.

It is a box of cards with a little bag of tags and a note pad. I added the note pad so he would have a spot to write down addresses or notes. The bag of tags is so that he can add a greeting to the cards when he is ready to send them out. I did attach greetings to the cards below so that I could photo them and share them with you, but when he gets his box, the cards will all be "greetingless".

I used To The Nines Specialty Paper, the Key Tag Punch and some cordurouy buttons on each of the cards and to decorate the note pad and tag bag so that everything would coordinate. You can easily substitute the DSP and accessories with something more feminine or whimsical.

For me this makes the perfect gift because you have everything you need all in one nice little container and because you can add whatever greeting you need. That means I will always have the perfect card for any occasion!

I hope you enjoy the photos below!

MIX AND MATCH WITH SINCERE SALUTATIONS!

Here is the box to hold all the goodies; four cards that go into the box; tags to be put on the cards when you're ready to use them and a little note pad for notes or addresses.

ROSE IS A ROSE BAG!

My upline gave me this awesome bag some years ago. It is so pretty. I love the black patent leather! There are 9 little clear pockets in it, and she had stamped images with the Watercolor Garden and put them into the pockets. I showed it off all the time, and got lots of compliments. Unfortunately, I had a little "spill" and some of the images smeared. I decided rather than mourn the loss, I would give my bag an updated look with one of my favorite stamp sets. This is the finished product! I used A Rose is a Rose stamp set with Cameo Coral and Certainly Celery. I will be taking it with me tomorrow when I run my errands to show it off. I just might even put it on "display" in the Rubber Room for all my customers to oogle over!

ELEGANT THANK YOU!

This is another awesome paper. It's the Rockability Specialty paper. It has these great pieces that are embossed, which really adds a lot of texture to your card, plus a very elegant look. I recently received an order for thank you cards, and this is one that I made. It was easy to do and the embossing and velvet ribbon added just the right touch!

BRANCH OUT!

I am totally in love with this Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper. I swear it goes with everything, and you can even make it look masculine! I used it here with the Branch Out stamp set and white embossing powder. Nice and easy card to make, but it looks like a million bucks!

TRIPLE PLAY CLUB STARTS THIS MONTH!

These are the three items we will be making on April 21, 2009 at our first Triple Play Club meeting. There's a little cone that holds a bag of M&Ms. It's made with the Big Shot Scallop Circle die and the Designer Series Paper dresses it right up. There is a little note holder filled with papers to sit on your desk and a card that goes with it. They all use the same Designer Series Paper and that ties them altogether for a great little set. I used the butterfly stamp from the Great Friends stamp set, which is available in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

There is still room to join the club too! The Triple Play Club will meet on the third Tuesday of every month for 8-10 months, depending on the number of people in the club. The projects are free to make, but you must place a minimum $25 order when we get together. Club will meet from 10:00 a.m. to Noon or from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. If you want to join, you must let me know by Wednesday, April 8, 2009
