EMBOSSING FOLDER FLEXIBILITY!

I have been seeing lots and lots of demonstrators and stampers that are cutting apart their embossing folders to get partial embossing on their cardstock. For example, if you wanted to put a circle in the top of your card and emboss around that circle, they would cut a circle out of their embossing folder.

Well, anyone who knows me, knows I am way too cheap to do that! But I loved the effect they were getting. SO, here is what I came up with: I cut a circle from some cardboard/chipboard. Here is what it looks like

Then, I put my cardstock inside my embossing folder and put my template on top of the folder (I know in this photo it looks like the cardstock is already embossed, but that is actually the cardstock inside the folder before it's run through the Big Shot).

I then took that "stack" and put it on my Big Shot base (the white piece with the sandwich menus on it), topped it with a cutting pad and ran it through the Big Shot. Here is what my final piece of embossed cardstock looks like.
