This girl is headed up north tomorrow to spend a few days celebrating my mom's 75th birthday with her.  I probably will not be posting to my blog, as we  have a lot of things planned.  I hope you enjoy a wonderful time while I am away.

I SURVIVED CREATIVE ESCAPE!

I made it home safe and sound!  Thank you, Lisa Brown, for seeing to my safe travels this weekend.  I had a terrific time with lots of stamping buds, and on Saturday evening I got to see my brother and his friend.  I managed to accomplish quite a bit and I even got some sleep in.  I had a wonderful time!  Huge thank you to Ronda and her helpers for making Creative Escape so relaxing and fun and for spoiling me!  You ladies are the best.

SO, SO SORRY!

I am so very sorry I missed posting yesterday, and I am making up for it by sharing two Curvy Keepsake Boxes with you today.

I am heading out of town this afternoon for a weekend filled with stamping fun in Lansing.  This is a great weekend, which I try to attend every year.  I really, really enjoy the weekend away and I get to see friends I have made in past years and make new friends and travel with friends, and stamp and do make and take projects and get thoroughly spoiled by our hostesses.  I willingly admit, though, that when the weekend is over, I need a few days of resting from all the activity.  Don't worry, I do not let that slow me down at all!!

PENGUIN CURVY KEEPSAKE BOX!

I think this little guy is simply adorable!  These boxes are so simple to make, it is unbelievable.  You start with the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies, available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog, and then you simply add punches and maybe some sponging.  For this guy we used the Wide Oval Punch, the Modern Label Punch and the Owl Builder Punch.  We did use the gel pen to add a little white definition to the eyes.  You can also use googly eyes.
