BUILD A BEAR GOES TO OHIO REGIONALS!

I was so excited about receiving this swap! It is just the coolest thing, and, YES, it has convinced me that I NEED to buy this die and stamp set and some clothes.....

Here's the "rest of the story". This swap was made by Nancy, who is a part of my demo group, whom I am now referring to as my design team, since they share so many great designs with me that I always end up making in classes and workshops. I get to show off all their talent, and it makes me look so creative!!

This swap is a little folder/purse that holds some bears and clothes for them too. Yep, she even put a couple bears and clothes into each swap! I know, she rocks!! I did take a photo of the outside of the little folder/purse, the inside pocket that holds the bears and clothes and the folder/purse open with my bears all dressed up and showing off.

Want the "deets"? Well, Nancy has given me permission to post them here. See, you gotta love her as much as I do :o) One day while Nancy and I were "working" (okay, for those in the know, that means "playing", but since we're both demonstrators, we refer to it as work and feel less guilty we're not doing cleaning and laundry), Nancy saw a "stationery purse" that I had made, and she really liked it. The stationery purse came from a group/class that Dawn Rapsas has called UStamp, and it was made by Tracy Old. The stationery purse was made to hold the Stampin' Up! Love Notes and had a pocket on each side of it when you opened it up, so it was a bit different than what Nancy was looking for, but she knew she could make it work, and she did!

Here are all the details for Nancy's BAB Folder Purse:

1. Elegant Eggplant cardstock cut to 4 1/2" x 12"; score at 5 3/4" and 6 1/4"
2. Only Orange cardstock cut to 4" x 4 1/2", score at 3/4" and 1 1/4" then attach to the top of the Eggplant cardstock for the fold-over top. Add a velcro closure.
3. Elegant Eggplant cardstock cut to 6 1/8" x 3 1/2". Score the long side at 1/2", 15/16", 5 3/16" and 5 5/8"; turn cardstock and score at 2 1/2" and 2 15/16". Attach to the inside of the back of the folder with sticky strip to make the folder pocket.
4. Designer Series Paper cut to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". Attach to the inside top of the back of the box (just above the folder pocket).
5. Cut 9" of grossgrain ribbon and attach it to the top of the folder with brads to make a handle.
6. With your Big Shot dies cut some bears and some clothes; put them into a small cello bag and then put the bag inside the folder.

THANKS SO MUCH, NANCY, FOR THE GREAT IDEA AND THE AWESOME SWAP!!

WOW, I AM HOME!!

I have returned from my trip to Ohio for a Stampin' Up! Regional. This was my third Regional event, and by far my favorite! I got some great swaps that I'll be posting here so you can enjoy them too. Of course, they are all much better looking in real life. Which means you definitely will need to visit the Rubber Room for a class or workshop soon so you can check them out in person.

In addition to all the swapping, there were AWESOME techniques and stamping tips and information and training for new products..... the amount of information was seemingly endless, and I will admit my head was swimming at first. Now, I am just so anxious to get started on putting all that information I absorbed to good use. That means there is no time the rest of this month for cleaning, cooking, laundry... nothing but stamping going on! Wonder how my husband is going to take that news?

Be sure to check out my calendar (at the top of my left side bar) and make arrangemetns to get to the Rubber Room soon so I can share the latest and greatest in the Stampin' Up! world with you!!

Until I see you in the Rubber Room, please enjoy the posts of my swaps!

MEDALLION!

Here is a swap card I traded with Katrice Faulkner in Ohio. She used the new Medallion Background stamp. I just got this stamp, and I am already loving how versatile and easy it is to use!

RAZZLE DAZZLE WITH RASPBERRY LEMONADE!

This is a swap that Evelyn Osinski traded with me in Ohio. She used the Razzle Dazzle stamp set with some Raspberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. She made these in colors to match all of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors, and they were all so beautiful!

CIRCLE CIRCUS!

This is a swap Judy Haney swapped with me in Ohio. For this card she used the Circle Circus stamp set, and she used dimensionals to pop up some of the layers on her circles. I love the color combination!
