The 2013-2014 Annual Catalog will soon be replaced with the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog.  There will be a big Catalog Premiere Event on April 28th, and I was lucky enough to get a ticket.  I am sure you can imagine how excited I am!!  On Monday, June 2nd, 2014, you will be able to order from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog. Want to hear about the contest?  Well, in a nut shell, you guess ten stamp sets you think will retire on April 21st.  If all ten of them retire, you get a $25 Stampin' Up! gift certificate to spend on stuff in the new catalog or to get retiring stuff before it's gone.    Just send me your list of the 10 stamp sets you believe are most likely to retire before April 20th. SPOILED BY MY TABLE MATE!

At our Creative Escape weekend we had the nicest table-mates, Bertina and Stacey/Sara. This is a little gift from Bertina.

Bertina was busy making these for all the teachers in her son's school for Teacher Appreciation week. Talk about spoiling someone! There is even a Ghiradelli chocolate inside the little faux file folder. The chocolate did make it home and posed nicely for its photo shoot. Not sure how much longer it is going to last in the file folder, though. I am thinking its days may be numbered. Anyway, (lost myself in chocolate land there for a minute) Bertina made this faux file folder using the Envelope Punch Board and lots of the FREE SAB products (DSP, Banner Punch and Twine). Thank you for sharing it with me, Bertina and for being such a great table made!

WITH A LITTLE HELP ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

For me a weekend away from home to craft is an opportunity for me to get to create all those things I want to make, but never get to.  This is one of the cards I have been wanting to make forever, and it just never happened.  So, it was on tap for the Creative Escape Weekend.  It truly took a lot of help, but we got her done!

The template came from Tami Chronowski; Keri traced and cut the template; I did some embossing; then Lacie provided us with some velllum (the underlay between the side panels) and a Stampin' Up! Pretties Kit (the big pearl); and Bertina supplied us with the Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  It was definitely a group effort, and I thank all of you who made my dream of making this card a possibility. You are the best!!

CREATIVE ESCAPE WEEKEND!

I was gone all weekend at the Creative Escape Weekend with my demo friend, Keri and about 58 other demonstrators.  We had an awesome time and made lots of great projects.  I will share some of the projects we made and some of the gifts we received from our hostesses for the weekend as well as our make and takes....  it was a fun-packed weekend!

I have unpacked my suitcase, unloaded my cooler, put all of my stamping stuff back where it belonged, taken pictures of all my goodies from the weekend, done all my laundry and now all I have to do is catch up on cleaning my house, post all m pictures, and change up a few displays in the Rubber Room.

VOTIVE CANDLE HOLDER AND A ROUND ARRAY!

Look what Keri and I made at our Creative Escape weekend get away.  It is a great little fall-away box.

AND it holds a votive candle.

I started off with a pattern from Pam Donald, whom I have dubbed "The Box Queen".  Seriously, whenever I need a box for anything, I start on her blog and then make changes.  For this box I changed the punch I used to hold my candle inside (the scallop circle fit this candle perfectly), and I also had to change a few of the measurements.  I also changed the design on the top.  For my box I used the A Round Array Stampin' Up! stamp set, and the coordinating punch.  This is a perfect little size box to use for place settings for showers or to add to a hostess basket or just slip into someone's mailbox to put a smile on their face.
